💭 Today’s Thought
Last week, the company I work for laid off 16% of its workforce. It was a tough and emotional week, to say the least. I was fortunate to keep my job, but I know so many dear friends and colleagues who weren’t.
As I’ve supported both myself and others through the events of the past few days, I’ve found some recurring messages come up in conversation. Sharing them here, in case they’re relevant to anything you’re currently going through:
Nothing is guaranteed. Find space to experience gratitude every single day.
All you can do is show up to the best of your ability today and make choices you’ll be proud of tomorrow.
Kindness and connection matter always, in every moment. To honor both of those values in your daily choices is to have a profound impact on the world around you… even if it’s one person at a time.
If you’re going through a layoff or any other tough circumstance and need someone to talk to, I’m just an email away.
