💭 Today’s Thought
Often times we can think our way into taking action — a new mindset or an acceptance of what is can propel us to shift and take a courageous step.
Other times, thinking keeps us stuck.
We overthink or ruminate, which naturally leads to confusion and overwhelm, which leads to paralysis.
In these moments, taking any action at all and treating it as an experiment can point us towards clarity and give us the gift of movement, which can turn into momentum.
When mentally stuck, try asking yourself:
What’s the smallest thing I can try? And what will I do if it doesn’t work?
As Mark Twain says:
The secret to getting ahead is getting started.
Where in your life do feel overwhelmed or paralyzed, and what’s the smallest thing you could try/experiment with to unblock yourself?
