💭 Today’s Thought
A couple of weeks ago, my family and I were driving home from vacation and ate breakfast at a restaurant called Gracie’s.
I expected delicious pancakes (and I was not disappointed!).
I didn’t expect to be inspired.
You see, the artwork around the restaurant consisted mostly of chalkboards with quotes. I snagged a photo of one of the walls and pasted it below.
Today, I invite you to read the quotes in this photo, choose one that’s speaking to you at this moment, and use it at as a guide during the week ahead.
Mine for the next week: “Talk about your blessings more than you talk about your problems.”
🖊️ Today’s Reflection
If you’re new to journaling, I highly encourage you to read Nancy Adler’s article: Want to be an outstanding leader? Keep a journal.
This week, find a quiet place and gift yourself 10 minutes to reflect on any of these prompts (or invent your own!):
What’s going on in your life that led you to choose the quote that you did (see Today’s Thought above)?
What might be different in your life if you let this quote guide you?
Daily reflection: how did this quote guide you today?

You’re talking to customers wrong
Regardless of who your customers are — members of your team, fellow employees, clients, users, etc. — regularly talking to them is necessary for learning and determining how you can have the biggest impact. And, there are some pitfalls that serve to stand in the way of you effectively turning the insights you gather into action. Check out this article to learn about them and what to do instead.
See you next week!
