💭 Today’s Thought
A colleague of mine once said, “great leaders don’t just make it possible for their teams to think outside the box, but also to live outside the box.”
What “living outside the box” can look like:
Taking risks
Doing things that feel uncomfortable
Finding what makes each person unique and encouraging them be and do that, rather than conform to whatever “box” others want them to be in
Speaking up when they disagree or have an alternative perspective
It’s great if your team thinks creatively, even better if they live creatively.
Check out the prompts in Today’s Reflection below to take a quick pulse check of your team, and/or yourself if you don’t lead a team. ⬇️

Make a list of times in the last two weeks when you’ve witnessed your team (or yourself) living outside the box (according to your definition). What do you notice?
If you aren’t observing your team (or yourself) thinking OR living outside the box as much as you’d like, here’s a challenge question: how might you be contributing to that?
