💭 Today’s Thought
Worrying is an attempt to protect ourselves…
If I can mentally prepare for the worst possible outcome now, I won’t be disappointed later.
But how many times have you worried about a disappointing outcome and felt legitimately OK if and when that outcome has occurred?
If you’re like me, probably never.
Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.
- Corrie Ten Boom, Clippings from My Notebook
When you find yourself swirling in worry, remind yourself that the only thing you’re protecting yourself from is experiencing the fullness of joy and strength that life has to offer you in this moment.
Trust that choosing strength today will give you the strength you need to face whatever sorrow tomorrow might bring.
📚 Today’s Read
A good manager does far more than setting someone on the path and encouraging them to do their best.
If that’s all you’re doing, then you’re not managing enough.
You’ve got to be more active, but in the right ways.
- Judd Antin
Read on to explore how to be an active leader and manager without being over-active.
See you next week!
